About 30 men and women attended the evening, designed to showcase the range of new treatments which salon owner Jacquie Brown has developed specifically for men. She says they need to be educated in the importance of taking time out to restore their wellbeing.
Guests – invited from Jacquie’s client base and Dumfries & Galloway Chamber of Commerce, of which she is on the board – enjoyed Champagne, chocolates and a chance to try Indian head massage, the new Executive massage, organic face care system, and various Guinot treatments. They all received a Guinot goody bag to take home.
Trevor Knowles, president of the Chamber of Commerce, won the mystery prize of a synchronised massage, and guests were also invited to make donations to Jacquie’s chosen charity, Save the Children.
She said: “It was a really successful night and I am delighted to be able to offer specific treatments for men. Most of those on the night have committed to coming back and they love the fact that they book their appointments immediately, online.”
Jacquies, which was recently the first salon in Scotland to offer the Double Ionisation Hydradermie facial, is set to host another special salon event – this time for mothers and daughters. It will take place in March.
