Businesswoman Jacquie Brown is thrilled to be flying the flag for the region after her Dumfries salon, Jacquies Premier Beauty, was named Beauty Salon of the Year in the INAA.com Scottish Hair and Beauty Awards 2011.

She and one of her therapists, Johanna Pollock, attended the glittering awards ceremony in Glasgow, after being told that salon was in the final 10. They had no idea that Jacquies
had won.

Jacquie said: “We are delighted to have won this award in our first year of entering. We were up against some top salons from the industry and were honoured to have been placed in the top 10.

“To actually win the award is amazing, and is down to the hard work and dedication of the whole team. I am very proud of the quality service we offer at Jacquies and would like to thank our customers for nominating us.”

A member of Dumfries Chamber of Commerce and Thrive networking group, Jacquie is aware of the benefits such an award can bring not just to her business, but to the region as a whole.
